Gone baby gone...

I just lost my mother... and just saw the film "Gone Baby gone" by Ben Affleck. An amazing movie. Worth your time. But what impressed me also was the fact that Ben hired his own brother Casey Affleck to play the leading role.

Now that is family. Well done bros.

Mercury

The cratered expanse pictured above was mostly in darkness 30 years ago when NASA's Mariner 10 spacecraft made the first and (until now) only flybys of Mercury. Last week, MESSENGER caught the terrain in sunlight for the first time.

"These are fantastic images," says Murchie. For one thing, "we've gotten our first good look at Caloris Basin," the biggest known impact crater on Mercury and one of the biggest craters in the entire solar system.

Right: Typical of the images returned by MESSENGER, this horizon shot shows the beautifully shadowed crater named Sholem Aleichem.

HEROES

I am currently recuperating from a double disability. One of them included my left rib cage being broken in 7 places, left lung punctured, etc... All this happened in Japan. I am trying to find something of interest for my own sanity. Well, I loved LOST but the idiots are postponing the show. Then, I found PRISON BREAK... but again, those idiots decided to postpone their series. Nothing seems to interest me... until I discovered "HEROES". That is still on and that does "distract" me in a positive sense. You should rent the first series and start from the beginning. They are currently in their second season but that is not where I am currently. I have only seen the first of 5 episodes of season one. At any rate, ck it out.

Success...

The Premiere of our 2006 movie was wonderful. Far more people showed up than expected and the night was fabulous!

Thank you to our many friends, patrons and thank you to our amazing Executive Producer and her entourage. This is a nice end to a beautiful production. See the entire photos here:

What seems "insignificant" is sometimes "magnificiant"...

This is a story about a regular guy (Paul Potts), who like most of us, sometimes questions his existence, measuring himself to others, not believing enough in his abilities or his worth. Then one day, his passion outgrew his fears as he stepped onto a stage, stopped doubting himself and rose to the occasion. Watch the faces of the judges as this "normal" guy walks out on the stage. You can almost see what they're thinking as they pre-judge him based on his looks and the fact that he's a cell phone salesman. Maybe he stopped believing in what people told him for so many years and ultimately started listening to his heart...his passion. He started to vibrate and he came out of his cocoon and he decided to share his God given talent with the rest of us. Listen to him and see if you're not uplifted... On the next link, there are 2 videos to see. View them both... and enjoy... Do scroll down after the first presentation. There is more below. Scroll down.

The Chronicles of Narnia continues... Prince Caspian is coming in May 08.

There are 7 volumes. Disney is presenting them in the order that CSL wrote them. Narnia has always been presented in a different order. Disney decided to present them in the order of the Autors's time/space writing. (Not necessary right... and not necessary wrong...) One thing is certain. The whole thing is MOST interesting.

I have read them (traditional order) to my children. It was night. Portions every night. (Since I have a number of children, each one was at a different book...).

Then, we discussed. (By the way, I read with a small flashlight, in the dark. I just had sufficent light to read outloud. I was usually on the floor... but sometimes did share their little beds ( with one leg holding me up o).

Lewis is as a Genius as Tolken is. Please remember that Aslan, according to C.S. Lewis... is CHRIST.

On the following link, go to their "Production Blog" (home page, click on it, and then, look to your right... click on the archives monthly. Great Stuff. Great Director and Great writter (Christian Philosophy - C.S. Lewis).

I always loved these books and read them to my children. The next movie (Prince Caspian) is expected in a few months.

Fantastic!!!

Emily... recent song production

This is a song I co-wrote with my son and the music is from Dan the man. It will also be part of our recent movie coming out soon: Bollywood North.
I love the final credit song. It lasts less than 3 minutes. Worth your while. You should read the text first, then listen to the music, and back button to return here.

Enjoy Dan's spectacular voice and talent: (click on the link below... and then, click the play icon... and enjoy...)

Emely

From the moment I saw you
From the outset of my dreams
Realized I would never again be blue
One single moment, with one single moment
My life became new, my life became new.

Emely, Emely…

From the silence without you
From the outlet of my screams
Realized I would forever be true
A single moment, with just one single moment
My life became you, my life became new…

Emely, Emely…

PS - By the way... It appears that Passions is a place I love to return to.

The Rings of Saturn

Intriguing Texture
12.14.06

This close-up of the inner edge of the Cassini Division shows an enormous amount of structure (Rings of Saturn), including a grainy texture in the bright outer B ring material near the gap edge.
An extreme enhancement of the original image, presented at right, reveals the grainy region with greater clarity.

This view looks toward the lit side of the rings from about 54 degrees below the ringplane.
The image was taken in visible light with the Cassini spacecraft narrow-angle camera on Nov. 8, 2006 at a distance of approximately 378,000 kilometers (235,000 miles) from Saturn and at a Sun-Saturn-spacecraft, or phase, angle of 68 degrees. Image scale is 2 kilometers (1 mile) per pixel.

The Cassini-Huygens mission is a cooperative project of NASA, the European Space Agency and the Italian Space Agency. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, manages the mission for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington, D.C. The Cassini orbiter and its two onboard cameras were designed, developed and assembled at JPL. The imaging operations center is based at the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colo.
